Cop Out Viewer Reviews
Cop Out

This movie seems to have completely missed the mark. Bruce Willis and Tracey Morgan play cop buddies in an action comedy with a lifeless plot and humorless jokes. Bruce Willis seems like a bored actor going through the motions and wishing he was somewhere else. On the other hand, Tracey Morgan acts like a babbling motormouth trying to steal the show with his obnoxious gags. Their outrageous misadventures generate some honestly funny scenes, but not enough to salvage the movie. A lousy script and lack of character development make for a so-so film.

Dear John

This was a really good romantic and cute movie. It kept my interest the whole time. Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried were a perfect couple together in this.
Now I want to read the book by author Nicholas Sparks, and I'd see this movie over and over!

Good as a Date movie, or for a girls night at the movies. I enjoyed the plot and would watch it again, may go into my movie collection.

I personally think if I didn't read the book it would have been better. It was, don't get me wrong, a cute movie but it lacked a lot. The ending should have been drawn out a little more to give it some conclusion. But other than that it was a great movie production.

This movie was very funny and romantic at the same time. For people to come together like that, when they never thought  they would, is just beautiful. Very funny to watch, go see it I'm sure you will love it as much as I did.

Legion

I loved it. It was absolutely a must see. This movie kept you on the edge of your seats. The storyline was a little out there but definitely worth watching. The old lady made the movie surreal. Good Angels vs Bad Angels and the Humans stuck in between.

Denzel, amazing again. If you ever wanted to get an understanding of a true believer how is willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish his mission...then you need to see this movie. The courage and the strength of a man and the road that he must travel. AMAZING! Strength, courage, integrity and commitment! Beautiful! The typical man/woman nuances , but this movie is about so much more.

I think that the movie had a good story line and it gave you something to think about after the movie was over. I might even go and see it again. The book of Eli two thumbs up.

The Lovely Bones

This was one of the best movies my husband and I have seen as of late. I was weary about seeing it at first, not sure if it was going to be too out there for me, but I LOVED IT!!! We were literally on the edge of our seats for the last twenty minutes of the movie. This movie captivates you from beginning to end. Excellent casting, great story. We definitely recommend this movie to someone that is tired of the same old thing. Finally a movie worth paying for in the cinema....those don't come along often.

Youth in Revolt Viewer Reviews
Youth in Revolt

This is a cool, teenage romantic comedy that is delightfully silly and uniquely funny. It deals with the frantic, hormone-driven escapades of Nick Twisp (Michael Cera) to consummate his relationship with Sheeni Saunders (Portia Doubleday). Hoping to win her over by "being bad", he devises various schemes whose outcomes are quite hilarious. The movie proceeds unevenly and awkwardly at times, but this quirky couple together produces a very entertaining film.

Daybreakers

I just saw Daybreakers great vampire film with a twist. It was scary, bloody and makes you think a little bit. Ethan Hawke and William Dafoe are really good. but Sam Neill almost steals the film. I hope for a sequel.

It's Complicated

IT'S COMPLICATED is the movie my husband and I saw. We only go to 3 movies a year and this was FANTASTICALLY FUNNY, and not completely predictable. We laughed and so did the audience, which was almost a full crowd, even though the movie has been out for a couple weeks.

Up in the Air Viewer Reviews
Up in the Air

I really liked this movie.

First of all, it kept my interest. Secondly the name says it all...in more ways than one.

Ryan (played by George Clooney) was always traveling, but it was like his own future was "up in the air".

The story line is one we can all understand. There were hopes for "Ryan" and you'll have to see the movie to find out what happens.

Up in the Air is definitely one of the best movies of the year. It is a brilliant character drama that tackles the down-to-earth, life shattering issue of corporate downsizing. George Clooney plays the role of Ryan Bingham, a corporate downsizer who does the dirty work for companies who want to avoid face-to-face contact with the newly unemployed. This is a role tailor made for him: a refined, smooth talking professional who is wise in the ways of the world, a man who can be impersonal or empathetic, witty or serious, but always thick-skinned. He spends 322 days in the air traveling, belongs to all the airline clubs, and can avoid personal commitment as well as the cluttered life on the ground.

But his contented way of life is jolted by company plans to take him off the road, thereby making him potentially susceptible to the remote chance of becoming a victim of downsizing. Moreover, his lack of commitment and freedom is challenged when he meets a compulsive traveler played by Vera Farmiga. Their relationship introduces some sassy dialogue and romantic encounters into the story. This is George Clooney at his very best with an excellent supporting cast. A movie that you should not miss!

Avatar was by far the best movie I have ever seen. The CGI effects were so amazing; I couldn't tell what was real and what was computerized. I give it a million stars and a two thumbs way up!

I thought it was 'ok', but I wasn't crazy about any of the Lord of the Rings movies or '300' either. I just don't care for those 'animated' or 'computer generated' movies.

Avatar is visually spectacular, worth paying extra for 3-D. Storyline is humdrum updated version of Cowboys vs. Indians story.

Storyline reminds us of our connection to nature and gives us reason to preserve it.

I thought it would be good based on previews but it didn't even compare to the real deal. In all honesty it is one of the greatest movies that has been produced in a long time. It covers all genres... Action, adventure, drama, romance, and suspense. It had all elements that make a movie successful. You get captured by the story and feel like you are there with the characters, Experiencing what they are. You leave in a daze wanting the story to continue, Scratching your head thinking of what could happen next. A must see.

Armored Viewer Reviews
Armored

The movie ARMORED lacks the distinguishing component that is usually found in a great armored car heist film: a well-written and well-conceived script that is technically sound, suspenseful, and intellectually stimulating. Unfortunately, the script for this movie is poorly written, underdeveloped, and suffering from poor dialogue. The tight knit groups of armored car employees who are intent upon pulling off a fake hijacking just don't have a workable plan or convincing alibi that would attract the viewers interest. If you intend to steal $42 million, you better have an airtight plan. This movie plot doesn't measure up. There's too much emphasis upon group loyalty and brotherhood, and little attention to making a successful bank withdrawal.

Brothers Viewer Reviews
Brothers

Brothers is an emotionally charged film that details the effects of battle-induced post traumatic stress syndrome upon the individual and his family. Its not just another modern day war movie.  It is an emotionally intense story of the heartbreaking losses that the soldier and his family suffer. Tobey Maguire, as the career soldier Sam Cahill, delivers a riveting, scary, and stunning performance that is not only achingly real, but also hauntingly unforgettable. This is the defining moment in his career: an Oscar worthy performance that ranks with the best of them. The stellar work by the other characters makes this a memorable film that will leave an indelible impression on your mind.

Transylmania Viewer Reviews
Transylmania

As a vampire comedy film TRANSYLMANIA is just an average movie that has only a few really good laughs in it. Its a wacky adventure about some college kids on their semester abroad in a castle with a diverse lot of corny characters.  Sometimes it seemed like a spoof on vampire films, at other times it was original in nature, but with humor that was a bit lifeless. Only the costumes and castle scenery were interesting.
